BIOENERGY AUSTRALIA WEBINAR SERIES

Bridging the price gap for Sustainable Aviation Fuel

Australia’s first Bioenergy Roadmap (The Roadmap) has elevated the highest ranked market opportunities and highlighted that the industry and government’s focus must be on expanding bioenergy’s market share in hard-to-abate sectors such as renewable sustainable aviation fuels. To support the implementation of the Roadmap, the Government has committed $33.5 million to ARENA to further support Australia’s bioenergy sector through co-funding additional research, development and deployment of advanced sustainable aviation and marine biofuels. The roadmap showed by 2030 18% of Australia’s aviation fuel market could be delivered by sustainable aviation fuel. But how do we get there? Bioenergy Australia has commissioned a report to address this question - Bridging the price gap for Sustainable Aviation Fuel prepared by EnergyLink Services.

SAF currently makes up less than 1% of the global aviation fuel supply and it is currently more expensive than its fossil-derived equivalent.  How can we bridge the price gap of SAF?

Join us as we launch the report, Bridging the price gap for Sustainable Aviation Fuel, and explore the findings, including the opportunities and challenges of growing an Australian industry to scale SAF affordably.

Moderated by Heidi Hauf from Boeing, make sure you register for the event.

This event is supported by the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Alliance of Australia & New Zealand (SAFFANZ).
