What does it take to design Australian SAF and Power-to-X fuel policy built to scale?
Sustainable aviation fuels are central to reducing aviation emissions, and Power-to-X (PtX) fuels will be a key choice for Australia in a shifting global energy system, essential for meeting long-term climate targets once bio-based options reach their limits. Whether these fuels can scale in Australia depends on decisions taken now: how policy is designed today shapes whether PtX fuels can be deployed at scale later.
The webinar, From Analysis to Action: RSB's PtX Fuel Policy Brief for Australian Decision-Makers, presents the key findings of RSB's new policy brief for Australia, developed to inform policymakers, industry stakeholders, and others engaged in the development of SAF strategies. The presentation will be followed by a short panel discussion bringing together expert speakers and perspectives from OEMs and industry stakeholders.
From system conditions to international policy lessons, the panel will unpack why scaling SAF and PtX fuel is a matter of coordinated policy design across electricity, hydrogen, carbon, infrastructure and governance, and what that means for Australia's aviation decarbonisation pathway.
Whether you are a policymaker, project developer, fuel producer, airline or investor, this is a discussion grounded in evidence and built for decision-makers.
The session will conclude with an open Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to engage directly with the panel.
This event is open to everyone and free to attend.
